Hello Rattler parents and Guardians, We hope that you and your students are settling into the new school. As we are now fully underway, it is time to start organizing our 2021/2022 School Site Council. We currently have open parent/community positions on the SSC team. If you are interested in possibly serving as a parent on SSC, please contact the student support department in the Ranchero office before the end of the day on Friday 9/3. Once we have collected the names of all that are interested, we will add the names to a ballot to be voted on. The candidates with the most votes will be added to the SSC team. Attention Rattler Families,
We anticipate HUSD middle school start times moving to 8:00 am in August to address the upcoming SB 328 and the research on the negative impact of having teenagers start school before 8:00/8:30. A questionnaire will be going out to the community to gather information on what the potential challenges might be and that the schools will be working on ways to address those challenges. The anticipated times for RMS are 8:00 am- 2:48 pm.
Please keep a look out for this survey from HUSD in the near future.

RMS Basketball and Soccer Players-
It is time for RMS Basketball and Soccer try-outs. You MUST have a HUSD physical packet completed before you can try out. These packets can be picked up in the front office M-F 8-3:30pm or downloaded from the RMS website: rancheromiddle.org
Your physical must be completed and brought to the first day of tryouts. Students need to wear a mask and bring their own water bottle to try-outs.
Below is the information for each sport try-out:
Girls Basketball- Tryouts begin on Monday 4/5 from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm in the RMS gym
Boys Basketball- Tryouts begin on Monday 4/5 from 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm in the RMS gym
Girls Soccer- Tryouts begin on Monday 4/5 from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm on the RMS soccer field
Boys Soccer- Tryouts begin on Monday 4/5 from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm
